Bay Area OCR | Family Obstacle Course Challenge - Round 1 (Fremont)

Coach Joe Bala of San Jose and Coach Pete Tapo of Newark are hosting their 1st Bay Area OCR | Family Obstacle Course Challenge event at Mission Peak Spartans in Fremont, CA are inviting and challenging you and your family to attend!

Bay Area OCR was started by both Coach Joe  and Coach Pete  during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bay Area OCR Spartan/OCR Training is designed for Teens (13+) and Adults who are new, beginner or returning athletes interested in taking on a Spartan/OCR event.

This obstacle course challenge is designed & programmed for families with fitness enthusiasts, who are weekend warriors, kids (6+), teens & adults! So all ages & fitness levels are invited to come challenge yourselves and each other to level up your fitness through Coach Joe's and Coach Pete's challenging course and obstacles.

The distance of the challenge is 2.5K (1.5 miles) with about 20 obstacles.

All Alameda County and state protocols for COVID-19 will be followed and observed. Face coverings will be required. Social Distancing of 6+ feet spacing between participants will be observed and required at all times. If your RPE (rate of perceived exertion) at any point during the race is at or above 7 then you may temporarily lower your face covering to catch your breath and lower your heart rate, but you must maintain at least 10+ feet of spacing between participants, volunteers and coaches.
